Another milestone of GP journey………..
On 11th March 2015, a group of 40 “Dassy” dealers visited GP production facility exposing themselves to insights of the manufacturing process and allowing themselves to recognize the value of people factor behind our finished garments ……….
At the arrival of the visitors, a warm welcome took place by giving “a handful of beetle” by our employees according to local traditions and then escorted in a procession of Kandyan traditional dancers to light the traditional oil lamp. The visitors were addressed by Mr. Stefan, Director and then the welcome speech delivered by Mr. Serge, General Manager followed with its French translation by Mr. Patrice, the CFO while the guests enjoyed a welcome snack.
To make the visit memorable everyone posed for a group photo too…….
During the lunch, our own employees graced the event with a traditional pooja dance, another colourful folk dance and a traditional oriental drum performance letting everyone enjoy the local oriental beat and rhythm. With excitement and enthusiasm, visitors enjoyed watching talents of our own employees ……who added glamour and colour to the event…..
The presentation of Mr. Serge included a comprehensive description about GP manufacturing details, capabilities, productivity and uniqueness of “Dassy” brand garment production. The factory visit was an opportunity for all of them to experience the process of work wear garment production and gain information.
Concluding the event, evening tea was served to the visitors marking another successful exercise at GP ……..prior to their departure, visitors were presented with a framed group photo of them as a souvenir and a collection of high quality Ceylon tea with varied flavors in a unique custom made “Dassy Box” in appreciation of their visit and dealership……
